Do you know an individual or group who stands out because of their service to the community? United Way of Larimer County is now accepting nominations for its 2018 Community Volunteerism Hero Awards. These awards honor individuals who have made a difference in Larimer County by mobilizing, empowering, impacting and uplifting the community.
Each nominee will be recognized at United Way of Larimer County's National Volunteer Month Celebration. One chosen individual from each category will be honored with an award of accomplishment and $200 to be shared with the nonprofit organization of their choice in Larimer County.
 This year's award categories are:
 Hero for Youth Award: A youth (ages 8-18) that stands out as a leader in their school or volunteer community and works to mobilize others to make a difference.
 Hero for Young Professional Award: A young leader (ages 19-40) who brings together their passion and philanthropic power to our community.
 Hero for Dynamic Duo Award: A couple (ages 25-65) that impacts our community by joining forces and volunteers together.
 Hero for Family Award: A family (three or more individuals) that works together to support their communities and neighborhoods.
 Hero for Dedicated Senior Award: An award to honor seniors (ages 65+) who contribute their ongoing commitment to their communities.

 Briefly describe your relationship with the nominee and what inspired you to nominate this individual/group.
 Elaborate on the impact that the nominee has upon the community, your organization(s)/affiliation(s), and/or its clients. Please give examples.
 Describe how the nominee has made a difference in the community through volunteering in Education, Income or Basic Needs.

 All nominees will receive an invitation to the National Volunteer Month Celebration and winners will be presented awards during the NVM Celebration program.
 If the volunteer you've nominated is a finalist you are required to submit a PHOTO (electronic photos are required to be profiled in the recognition process). You will be contacted by United Way of Larimer County staff if your nominee has made it to the finalist round.
 All nominee will be reviewed and finalists will be selected by a volunteer review panel. Winners will be selected through a social media voting process and United Way will invite and promote participation in voting to the greater community. Nominators are also encouraged to promote the voting to their networks.
 Award winners will be notified no later than March 31, 2018.
