Come learn about and help work in the NIX Native Plant Garden at the Natural Areas Department office, located right off of the Poudre Trail!
By Bike or on foot: From College Ave. go east along the Poudre River Bike Path. Go past Lemay Ave. The Natural Areas Office is located .79 miles east of Lemay Ave. There is a small sign marking the junction. Go south toward the Natural Areas Office. (the distance is about 3 miles from College Ave).
Directions to the Natural Areas Office, 1745 Hoffman Mill Road: From College Ave, go east on Prospect St, then north on Lemay. Turn east on Poudre River Drive (about ½ block north of Riverside). This is located between two medical buildings. After about 1 block, the Poudre River Drive ends and you will see a paved road to your right which is Hoffman Mill Road. Stay on this paved road for almost a mile. The road ends at our offices.
Group & Individual
Please come prepared to work outside! We suggest wearing layers, close-toed shoes, a hat and sunscreen. Please bring a water bottle, snacks and anything else to make you comfortable throughout the day.
No experience necessary! Natural Areas will provide all safety equipment and necessary tools. We will also provide sunscreen, water, snacks and lunch. Children welcome ? supervision required for anyone under 14!
