The American Red Cross of Northern Colorado is planning to check existing smoke alarms, install new ones as needed, and educate residents in an under served community in Fort Collins. We begin the day at 9 am with a quick training and form teams of 3 to travel in a chosen community. You will work side -by-side with volunteers from Poudre Fire Authority and the American Red Cross to help each household of this community be better prepared in case of a home fire. The event will finish by 2:00 pm.

Assist City crews to remove woody vegetation in the creek channel, restoring floodplain capacity and creating a safer environment. Volunteers should be comfortable doing work involving lifting, bending and standing while handling heavy wood materials.

The City of Lovelands Snow Squad volunteer program assists residents who are physically unable to shovel and cannot afford to hire a service.

Making a difference is easy. Each volunteer indicates the number of residents they would like to help, and is matched with residents in their area for the entire season.
When it snows 2 inches or more, volunteers shovel the sidewalks and a path to the door for their assigned residents within 24 hours of the end of the snowfall.

Interested volunteers should email Hollie.Hill@cityofloveland.org to receive an application with required background check.

We are in need of 100 1x1ft lockers for adults in our day program. On the day of the event, we will be assembling the lockers, which may require using tape measures, power drills and/or screw drivers, holding boards still while others drill, and some medium-heavy lifting.

Volunteers will work with Larimer County Rangers and staff to clear debris and clean up one of the Larimer County properties. Limbs, branches and debris will be loaded on trailers for removal. All training, tools and lunch will be provided.

The Loveland Housing Authority is seeking to create a newsletter and facebook page for its residents where they can learn about resources, read stories about other residents, and stay connected. These outlets can provide key information to resident who are low-income and would like to learn more about opportunities in our community that could benefit them or their families. Tasks include gathering materials, creating posts and newsletters, and electronic distribution using an existing Salsa platform. Training will be provided.
